The Mystic Program

Mindfulness based inter-Spiritual Teacher Training

This Professional Diploma explores the concept and practices of mindfulness, meditation and contemplation (Insight Meditation) through the lens of personal, psychological and spiritual development. The skills empower the student to be able to offer mindfulness and meditation sessions in a variety of contexts. The students’ knowledge is then enhanced by developing an inter-spiritual model of practice that shows how to put together different mindfulness and mediation practices depending on the philosophy, psychology or beliefs present. The design module takes students into the kitchen to explore how the practices are put together and what outcomes can be achieved using different ingredients. Teaching and facilitation skills are then added to give the student the confidence to offer the program as a course along with a training manual and CD of the practices.

Who is it For?

This international training program is ideal for anyone working in a profession that wants to use mindfulness and meditation based practices in different contexts weather secular, psychological, spiritual or religious. It gives the practitioner the knowledge, language, skills and tools to put together their own program and adapt it to whatever area they are working in. While its an excellent training it itself it would also be an excellent add-on for Chaplains, Teachers, Spiritual Directors, Counsellors, Social workers, Addiction workers....

Eugene Curran, All Hallows College, Vice-President,

John has presented his courses in The Art of Stillness, Deep Stillness and Sacred Stillness in All Hallows College for many years both at non-accredited and at degree level. Participants at all academic levels sing his praises. He is a dedicated and creative teacher and has made spirituality accessible to many. I have been particularly impressed by his flexibility of approach which is allied to a depth of understanding and knowledge.

Ben Smith, Global Product Lead at Google

I attended a day long detachment day retreat delivered by John. It was a truly wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone. It is clear that John is truly happy and practices what he preaches. This gives him great credibility when he delivers the content. The content itself has taught me a great deal about mindfulness, compassion, love, kindness and meditation practices. Even though I only attended the course over a month ago I can still hear John's voice sharing those key messages. Thanks John! Keep up the good work and spread your insight far and wide
